Curtains down

About this series:
In 2007, my “day job” led me to emigrate in New York City. After a few years I left and moved back to what used be “home”.
In this on-going series I explore the subsequent and unsettling feeling of being estranged and removed. Looking at common structures and spaces within the home, I use unconventional framing and lighting to make them unreal and confusing. This process removes the specificity of these interiors, making them familiar but also vaguely alien, like memories that belong to no one.
